Best Places to Run in Cebu 2026

Best Places to Run in Cebu 2026

If you've been running in Cebu for a while, you already have your go-to spot. But if you're just starting out, or you're tired of the same route, here's a rundown of the best places to run in Cebu right now.

These aren't just pretty spots. They're places where actual runners go, week in and week out. You'll find company, decent road conditions, and enough variety to keep training interesting.

1. IT Park (Cebu IT Park, Lahug)

This is where most Cebu runners end up eventually. The loop around IT Park is about 1.2 kilometers, well-lit at night, and almost always busy enough that you won't feel alone running after dark. The roads are smooth, the area is safe, and there are convenience stores nearby if you need to refuel.

Most runners do multiple loops here for easy runs. It's not scenic in the traditional sense, but it's reliable. Go at 5 AM or 6 PM on any weekday and you'll see dozens of runners. Weekend mornings especially feel like a running event even when there isn't one. If you don't have a GPS watch, Run Buddy can track your distance and pace in real time as you loop.

2. SRP (South Road Properties)

SRP is the go-to for long runs. The roads are wide, flat, and mostly car-free on weekend mornings. The sea breeze helps a lot on warm days. If you're training for a 21K or a marathon, SRP is where you want to do your long run days.

The stretch from SM Seaside toward the open lots gives you a straight run with a decent view of the bay. Some runners do out-and-back routes to hit their distance targets. Bring water because there aren't many stops along the way.

3. Tops / Busay Road

This one is for runners who want hills. The road up to Tops in Busay is steep in sections and the altitude makes it a proper workout. The reward is cooler air and a view of Cebu City below you.

Most runners don't go all the way to the summit. The road itself is the workout. Some running groups use this for weekly hill training. If you've been on flat roads for a while and want something harder, one trip up Busay will change your perspective on what difficult actually means.

4. Cebu Business Park

Right next to IT Park and connected by a few roads, Cebu Business Park adds more loop options when IT Park's circuit starts feeling too short. The area around Ayala Center is clean, well-lit, and comfortable to run in at any hour.

Many runners combine IT Park and Business Park into a longer route, cutting through one and looping back through the other. The two areas together give you a solid 3 to 5 kilometer route without retracing steps too much.

5. Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC)

If you want to run on a proper track, CCSC is your best option in the city. It's the most controlled environment for interval training or for runners who want to track pace precisely without dealing with traffic.

Not the most exciting place to run, but for speed work and structured sessions it does the job. Good pick if you're preparing for a race and want consistent, measured distances.

6. Mactan Area

Runners on Mactan Island have their own spots. The Mactan Newtown area and the roads near the airport have grown popular with the running community on the island. Flatter than most of Cebu City, good for easy long runs.

If you're based in Lapu-Lapu or Mandaue, you don't need to cross the bridge to find a solid running route. The community there has been growing and group runs happen regularly if you know where to look.

7. Mandani Bay (Mandaue)

Mandani Bay has quietly become one of the better running spots in the metro. The path runs along the waterfront with the sea right beside you, but it's all pavement so you get the view without the sand. It's a clean, well-kept area and you'll find a decent crowd of runners there especially on early mornings and weekends.

If you're based in Mandaue or north Cebu, this is worth making your regular spot. The combination of flat pavement and sea air makes it a genuinely enjoyable run, not just a functional one.

How to Find Running Groups at These Spots

Most of these locations have regular group runs, especially on weekends. Cebu has a strong running community and finding a barkada to train with isn't hard once you know where to look.
